12.1.2009 - Xcelerator & MobileTek Users Make 2009 Conference a Success

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developers of Xcelerator and MobileTek recently had their 2009 User Conference.

Companies from across the country were represented, and took advantage of high level discussions and presentations regarding direction of the software, future of the industry, and solid networking opportunities to expand business from east coast to west coast.

3.1.2009 - Xcelerator Releases "Interconnect"

1.16.2009 - Xcelerator Introduces Credit Card Processing through Online Portal

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, makers of Xcelerator, introduces Credit Card Processing for the Xcelerator Online Order Entry and Tracking portal.

This new feature is an extension of the Credit Card Processing that already exists within the operational side of Xcelerator's Accounting system, but extends to the Online Order Entry and Tracking portal enabling the carrier's client to process payment of any open invoice that is displayed.

11.15.2008 - Xcelerator Maximizes Output with MapQuest Tools

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developers of Xcelerator, recently enhanced the current MapQuest interface to incorporate powerful new features allowing Xcelerator users to maximize output and keep dispatchers and clients up to speed with real time data.

As MapQuest incorporates valuable tools into its application, the Xcelerator development team takes a creative approach to using those tools in the logistics environment, focusing on efficiency and time management.

Xcelerator users now have the ability to view construction delays, traffic pattern changes and accident awareness in real time. A user can hover the mouse over the warning sign, bring up crucial data about that warning, and make educated decisions about rerouting drivers to their destination if required. This invaluable information can be available to dispatchers, operations managers, or even clients tracking job status online.

If selected as an option by the carrier, warning information and GPS status are viewable by the shipper through Xcelerator's online portal. By clicking the GPS Track link, the shipper has access to some of the same data that the dispatcher has, such as driver location and any traffic, construction, or accident delays. For companies who perform medical or emergency deliveries this has been an effective tool for their clients to maintain real time information on their critical shipments without the need to call into dispatch for tracking updates. If carriers find that displaying that information is not necessary, they may simply post the warnings through their Online Announcements section available via the Xcelerator Online Portal.

10.15.2008 - Xcelerator Releases 'Dispatch Ticker'

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developers of Xcelerator, announces the release of a new component which drastically increases the dispatchers' awareness of the operational events occurring out in the field. The "Dispatch Ticker" is a commonly used term for the formally named 'Dispatch Event Viewing System'.

The new Dispatch Ticker is a new screen, available to Xcelerator users, which lists events as they occur. For example, when a driver changes the weight of a shipment using his/her mobile device, this event will show on the screen in front of the dispatcher. Furthermore, the Xcelerator User has the ability to choose which Events are important by adding/removing events, assigning color decoration to particular sensitive events or even adding audible "beeps" when an Event occurs. All of these features and more make the Dispatch Ticker an invaluable tool for Dispatchers, CSRs and especially business owners who have taken a great interest in watching the pulse of their business in real-time.

The Dispatch Ticker is just one of the many new powerful Xcelerator features built upon the new Xcelerator Event Monitoring System (XEMS). The XEMS is revolutionizing the way critical information is made available both within Xcelerator and also to partnering software systems such as EDI's. In the Transportation industry, the term "real-time" is used loosely and often means "close-to-real-time". With the XEMS, however, real-time means REAL-TIME. Information is made available immediately when changes occur, whether that means displaying important shipment change information to a dispatcher within the Dispatch Ticker, or sending an instant message to a partnering EDI system.

7.15.2008 - MobileTek / Xcelerator and Hackbarth Delivery Services Inc., Introduce Open Form Questionnaires for Mobile Workers

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developers of Xcelerator and MobileTek along with Hackbarth Delivery Services Inc., introduce new functionality to improve accountability through Open Form Questionnaires.

The Open Form Questionnaire is a user defined, customizable template of questions that the driver will be asked at any given stage of the order. At the client level, the customized questions will ensure that the driver performed the necessary procedure required, by the shipper, at the pickup or delivery location. As the questions are answered, information is sent back to Xcelerator in real time and made available to executives, managers or administrators for reporting; ensuring the needs of each client is met. Openâ€Form results may also be communicated via EDI to a client as required. Xcelerator EDI engines can be custom built with "flags" and "triggers" to send valuable field information gathered within an Openâ€Form to clients in realâ€time.

7.1.2008 - Xcelerator Releases New Fuel Surcharge Component

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developer of Xcelerator, responds to fluctuating fuel costs, with new method of calculating fuel cost.

With the price of gas constantly fluctuating, and the demand from the industry to seek fair and flexible methods to manage and calculate the fuel surcharge, Xcelerator released a new alternative to calculate fuel costs in an open and user friendly interface.

Current methods are adjustable, with the ability to choose a flat dollar amount or percentage, based upon service and vehicle. The new option will allow Xcelerator users to calculate fuel on a dollar per mile basis, still centered on service and vehicle combinations. This helps the user in making swift and easy changes that can affect all customers at once, or specific customers and their relative pricing structure.

"The nice thing about this new method, along with the other available methods, is that it can be protected by a date range. So as the courier company changes their surcharges daily, weekly, or monthly, that amount can be saved to that date range protecting both their customers, and the courier company itself from over or under charging" says company President and Partner Charlie Pisciotta.

4.1.2008 - Xcelerator and MobileTek Release Shared-Stop Functionality

Wall Township, NJ - In a collaborative effort, Key Software Systems, makers of Xcelerator and MobileTek release Shared Stop Functionality.

Used in both the On-Demand and Routed/Distribution environments, Shared Stop Functionality allows the Driver to easily share time stamp information and the signature on pickup or POD, across multiple orders that share the same stop locations.

President and partner Charlie Pisciotta adds, "This Shared Stop capability came from the need of our clients to streamline operations and maximize the efficiency of dispatchers and drivers out in the field who are both managing complex delivery scenarios. The driver can enter the information one time and be on his way, the shipper can then log in to the online portal, or be notified through their EDI system, and see all relative information for the multiple orders that shared the information, from arrival and departure times, individually scanned pieces, and of course the signature. The great thing about it is that the dispatchers are all notified in real time as well, so everyone is on the same page."

1.28.2008 - Xcelerator Partners with MapQuest

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developers of Xcelerator, recently finalized agreements with MapQuest for software integration into Xcelerator.

MapQuest integration will offer several powerful features to Xcelerator software including Mapping, Optimized Routing, Geocoding, Mileage, and Reverse-Geocoding.

As shippers go online to validate mileages, they often turn to MapQuest which holds a majority share of the online mapping market. Xcelerator, by Key Software Systems, will allow the use the MapQuest mileage calculations made available by the MapQuest API to provide the same mileage results that a shipper would find online when using the same address points.

1.24.2008 - Xcelerator Spawns MobileTek

Wall Township, NJ - Key Software Systems, developers of Xcelerator, announces the release of MobileTek, a highly advanced mobile software solution for the transportation industry.

Due to an increasing demand for signature capture and barcode scanning by shippers in the health care and office supply industries, MobileTek LLC. was formed to build a state-of-the-art solution for carriers to meet and exceed the demands of their clients. MobileTek features Signature Capture, Barcode Scanning, GPS and many other modules to drastically increase driver productivity, accountability and overall efficiencies across the supply chain.

11.29.2007 - Xcelerator's Users Make Annual Conference a Success!

Baltimore, MD - Riding on the success of its User Conference in 2006, Xcelerator doubled the number of companies in attendance and tripled the attendance mark for its 2007 User Conference. Held at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD November 15th-18th.

The event brought together new and seasoned Xcelerator users to openly exchange ideas about streamlining operations, network with other user companies, and train on multiple aspects of the software.

1.1.2007 - Xcelerator EDI Growth Brings New Addition
